7th Annual Vienna Elementary School 5K race and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Our PTA is excited to host the 7th Annual Run for Fun on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Vienna Elementary school continues to prioritize physical fitness and encourage kids in motion. This run, while providing motivation to adhere to a healthy lifestyle and improve general fitness, also funds many activities and improvements for our school. We appreciate your support and are grateful to live in a community that encourages prioritizing fitness.
New for 2011:
We are proud to announce our partnership with DC Road Runners Club, the Capitol Region’s premiere running club. Our partnership with them will bring a new registration system, as well as the use of a chronotrack timing system to “chip time” the 5K race – a USATF Certified 5K course!
Food Drive
Vienna Elementary School likes to give back to the community whenever possible. In conjunction with this year’s race, we will be collecting food items for Our Daily Bread. We will be collecting the food at the Pre-Race Packet Pickup on Friday, April 29th and on race day.

Event Fees
- By Mail (postmark by 4/23/11): $25
- After April 23 (by mail) or after April 25 (online) and race day. $30
- Children 14 and Under: $15 per child for first one or two children in family, $5 per child for each child after 2nd child registered, regardless of date registered.

- A special raffle will be held for those who pick up their race packets on Friday
“Carb Loading Party”
- When: Saturday, April 30th from 11:00 to 8:00
- Where: Noddles & Company (Vienna)
- Noodles will donate a percentage of the proceeds from those who say “I support the Vienna 5K” when they order.

- Parking: Vienna Community Center, Firehouse and on local streets.
- Pre/Post-Race Festivities: Rock and Roll Warmup, Awards ceremony and post-race refreshments.
- Age groups awards for the 5K include top three finishers: 8-and-under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ (for each gender).
