The 4th Annual Vienna Elementary PTA 5K race and 1 Mile “Run for Fun” was a complete success.
This year we had over 550 runners register for the race. This represents a
30% increase over last year! The top 3 overall winners were:
MEN

2nd Sunny Singh 17:18
3rd Luis Navarro 17:48
WOMEN
1st Jenny Schneider 20:07
2nd Jade Zaharoff 20:59
3rd SushilaNanda 21.41
This year we made a push to get more elementary students to run the race.
Throughout the spring, we offered weekly training runs and the physical
education curriculum increased attention on the 5K. As a result, 131 elementary
students (compared to 46 last year) completed the 5K and each one received a
medal for their efforts.
In addition to having a great time, the race also raised a lot of money for the
education enrichment programs at Vienna Elementary.
A huge thanks goes out to all the runners, sponsors, supporters and volunteers
who have made this event what it is.
The 5th Annual Vienna Elementary PTA 5K Race and1 Mile “Run for Fun” is
