4th Annual Vienna Elementary School 5K race and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Our PTA is excited to host the 4th Annual Run for Fun on Sunday April 27, 2008. The 3rd Annual Run for Fun was a huge success. The weather was perfect and close to 450 kids/adults participated in the event.
Vienna Elementary school continues to prioritize physical fitness and encourage kids in motion. This run, while providing motivation to adhere to a healthy lifestyle and improve general fitness, also funds many activities and improvements for our school. We appreciate your support and are grateful to live in a community that encourages prioritizing fitness.
The PTA has three goals for this race.
- Provide a fun event, integrated with the PE curriculum, that encourages kids, teachers and parents to stay active and celebrates their achievements.
- Sponsor a different type of fundraiser for the school.
- Encourage a new pool of parent volunteers to offer their running/fitness/organizational skills to support the school.

- 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Pre-Packet Pickup and Registration will take place at 708 Glyndon ST. SW, Vienna, VA 22180

- 6:45-7:45 Packet Pickup and Race-Day Registration
- 8:00 1Mile Fun Run/Walk
- 8:20 5K Race
- Parking: Parking is available at the school, Vienna Community Center, and on local streets.
- Pre/Post-Race Festivities: Rock and Roll Warmup, Awards ceremony and post-race refreshments.
